Zest Psychology, our humble start to making mental health accessible, easy and efficient. We switched online and tele-consulting over the 2020 pandemic. It has been over 5,000+ hours of therapy over the last four years of private practice. I’ve loved the process of human to human, working together to make life work.
Lead Practitioner & Founder of Zest Psychology.
I got introduced to the field of Psychology when I received my first therapy session while I was in high school. Therapy was one of the best things that happened in my life – for a young mind struggling through anxiety and depression, a safe space and gentle guidance was bliss. It was through my own experience that I’d recognised the importance of mental health and how much of a life changer right support at the right time can be. My interest grew through the years and I went on to do my Bachelors in Psychology. I then moved to UK to pursue my Masters in Health Psychology. After a couple of years of extensive training, research and consulting in private firms, I founded Zest.

Taking on an integrative – person centred approach, my field of expertise is upon counselling and guidance for:
I help people get in touch with their emotions and recognise patterns, understand their situation, better their thinking, learn and implement coping methods all while feeling supported and cared for. I often meet people at their lows and by the end of our therapy sessions, I get to see them take off empowered and thriving. A very heart fulfilling job, yes.
My research interest is in the field of Health Psychology. Working individually and alongside a team of researchers at the Pain Research Laboratory, Southampton, most of my work revolves around understanding chronic pain and how it affects one’s cognitive functioning.

I also design and provide workshops and events on mental health to raise awareness and slash stigma surrounding mental health and help seeking. From events for school kids to corporates, we build mental health programmes focusing on stress management, preventing burnouts, mental fitness and awareness campaigns. (view our events)
On a more personal note I love cars, driving and travel. I’m also into art and creative pursuits – from pencil sketching, canvas painting to writing and website designing. Growing up I spent most of my time training for my athletic meets and learning to perform Carnatic music. Music continues to be a big part of my life now. Being a big time animal lover, my home also becomes a foster space time and again.
Everyday, I get to do what I love ~ working alongside wonderful people as they piece their best lives together. Therapy sessions often is a process of learning through life together, tends to be humbling and empowering at the same time. A passion turned profession, will always be grateful to be a therapist.
